Rooted in Canada and reaching internationally, Wildling Pictures is built around stories that stay with people. We are strategically minded, creatively ambitious, unafraid of a challenge, and independent at heart.

Since 2014, Wildling Pictures has developed and produced distinctive independent films for Canadian and international audiences, while also providing production services to studios and producers working in Canada. Over that time, Wildling has built a reputation for backing ambitious films that take creative risks, champion strong points of view, and find audiences.

Recent original productions include the romantic comedy YOUNG WERTHER by José Avelino Gilles Corbett Lourenço, starring Alison Pill, Douglas Booth, Iris Apatow, and Patrick J. Adams, which premiered in Special Presentations at TIFF 2024; and PAYING FOR IT by Sook-Yin Lee, co-produced with Hawkeye Pictures, which debuted in the Platform program at TIFF 2024.

Wildling also produced the acclaimed comedy SUZE by Linsey Stewart and Dane Clark, starring Michaela Watkins and Charles Gillespie, and the hit thriller SEE FOR ME, directed by Randall Okita and starring visually impaired actor Skyler Davenport, which was released in over 25 territories, including a U.S. release by IFC Midnight following its world premiere at the 2021 Tribeca Film Festival. Additional highlights include Molly McGlynn’s MARY GOES ROUND, an official selection of the 2017 Toronto International Film Festival, and WHAT WALAA WANTS, winner of the Hot Docs Canadian Feature Documentary Award.

The company has also executive produced multiple features from emerging Canadian talent, including TIFF selections FIRECRACKERS by Jasmin Mozaffari, CARDINALS by Grayson Moore and Aidan Shipley, EASY LAND by Sanja Zivkovic, and LEARN TO SWIM by Thyrone Tommy.

Upcoming and recent projects include PHREAKER, the directorial debut from acclaimed screenwriter Adam Yorke; DEVOUR, the debut feature from Erica Orofino; and LAURA DEAN KEEPS BREAKING UP WITH ME, currently in post-production, directed by Tommy Dorfman and written by Mariko Tamaki. Wildling is also in production on SKINNAMARINK FOREVER: THE SHARON, LOIS & BRAM STORY, from writer-director Dan Slater, about the iconic Canadian children’s entertainers.

Wildling’s service production work includes high-profile projects such as A24’s DREAM SCENARIO, starring Nicolas Cage, and HELL OF A SUMMER, written and directed by Finn Wolfhard and Billy Bryk, both of which premiered at TIFF 2023.
